Privacy

Short version: we keep what you give us to answer you, we do not sell it, and you can delete all of it yourself, any time.

What we ask for

Your question, your birth date, time and place, and your name and email (from Google, or from the email link). You can also add people such as a spouse or a parent, with their birth details.

Before you sign in

Nothing is stored until you sign in. What you type on the first page stays in a signed cookie in your own browser until you sign in or leave.

After you sign in

We store your account (name, email, language), the people you add, your chats and messages, the chart calculated from each person's birth details, and any rating you give. Only you and the person who answers questions can see them.

Other companies

Some of this passes through services run by other companies: a hosting provider that stores our data, an email service that sends sign-in links and "your reply is ready" notices (these carry a link, never the reply itself), and software services that may be used to prepare replies, which can see a question and its birth details. We do not sell your details and we show no advertising. There are no analytics or tracking scripts, and fonts and scripts are served from this site.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in and protects forms, and one remembers your language. That is all.

Your comment on the site

If you rate a reply you may tick a box to let us show your comment on the home page. It is never shown with your name, only after we approve it, and you can take it back by unticking the box.

Public replies to earlier readings we gave elsewhere may be quoted on the home page, without names.

Deleting your data

Open Account and choose Delete my account. Your name, email and sign-in links are removed at once, and your account can no longer be signed in to. Your chats and replies stay in our records with your name and details taken out, so we can still see how many questions were asked and answered; nothing left behind can be traced back to you. The application's own logs do not keep visitor addresses or sign-in links (the servers in front of it may keep ordinary access logs).

Town names and coordinates come from GeoNames, licensed CC BY 4.0.
